The CareerFOCUS Eagle Award is a symbol of leadership achievement for
African-American and Hispanic/Latino executives. Honorees embody the
Eagle's model of dignity, integrity, and honor, and their records of
performance inspire others to achieve greater levels of business and
community leadership.
The Eagle Award was launched in 1993 by CareerFOCUS Magazine, "The Magazine
for Today's Professional Lifestyles," to recognize outstanding leadership
brewing in the trenches of corporate America. Eagle Award recipients mirror
the magazine's distribution, which targets African-American (70%) and Latino
(30%) professionals who practice principled leadership in business and
community endeavors. Today, the Eagle Awards are presented by the National
Eagle Leadership Institute. CareerFOCUS maintains naming rights and is
NELI's primary media partner profiling the honorees each year.
The 16th Annual CareerFOCUS Eagle Awards Gala is Friday, November 14, 2008,
at the Westin Michigan Avenue Hotel in Chicago Illinois. For sponsorship or ticket information,
please call Michelle Paige at 913.317.2888. To submit a nomination for 2009, please
download a PDF copy of the nomination form.
